As a clinic owner, having an entrepreneurial mindset is a given, you are doing much more than just seeing patients.

But what about the rest of the clinic staff, both reception & the clinical team.

Promoting an entrepreneurial mindset in every corner of your clinic has its advantages. It can be an opportunity to get an upper hand over your local clinic competitors, to improve your patient services, processes, patient outcomes all to gain and retain current patients and to attract new patients.

So how do you foster an entrepreneurial mindset in your clinic’s culture? The following strategies might be helpful in getting you started. Last time we tackled “Empower YOUR Clinical & Reception Staff to Take Ownership of Their Roles”… see below for today:

Instil A Bias for Action.

As a clinic owner & entrepreneur yourself, you know that action is paramount. With that in mind, consider promoting a culture in your clinic that favours action over complacency. This means guarding against paralysis by analysis, long clinic meetings with no outcomes & no action items to work on, unnecessary emails & chats at the reception desk, outdated formalities and other inefficiencies that are the hallmark of an inefficient clinic.

Are some reception staff & even clinicians talking more than doing? Ask your staff where they might encounter roadblocks and remove them. The clinic team members who have shown an action-can do & entrepreneurial mindset may applaud your efforts to facilitate entrepreneurial thinking for the betterment of the clinic.
